The meeting was called to Order at 9:15 a.m. by Vice President Jeff Talbot, with a pledge of allegiance, followed by an opening prayer by Chaplain Robert Winkler.

 

The minutes of the March meeting were read by Secretary Scurti & approved after a motion by Terry Rammell and a second by Mitch White.

 

The Financial Report, submitted by Treasurer Al Mendoza, was read in Al’s absence by Vice President Jeff Talbot.  As a copy of the report was not obtained by the secretary for inclusion, the previous financial report is included herewith as follows: The CAHP Regular Savings account has a balance of $8,374.42, the Twin Pines account has $51.00, the Relief for Fallen Officers account has $2,002.27, & the Checking (Classic Share Draft) account has $2,500.00.  This report was also approved after a motion by Terry Rammell and a second by Mitch White.

 

Russ Golesh made a motion, seconded by Robert Winkler, that the 50-50 funds, in the amount of $115, be donated to Team Inspire Foundation.  The motion carried, and Phil DuBois was appointed to coordinate the processing.

 

At 1031 hours Terry Rammell made a motion, seconded by Albert Cox, to adjourn in order to allow a presentation by special guest speaker Bob Wieland, a motion which was carried by the members present.

 

As previously announced, a very special and inspirational presentation was made by motivational speaker Bob Wieland.  Several members purchased his book and made donations to his non-profit, Team Inspire Foundation, which can be reached through bobwieland.com.  People are also encouraged to assist him in his next journey across America, at which he can be reached via SpiritRideIII.com.
